Het begint met een mooie foto van de achterzijde, deze op onderstaande manier bewerken en uploaden naar TOMTOM Home.

PS: Als het niet lukt, komt dit door de rode achtergrond, even aanpassen en het werkt wel. Succes! 8)

Car symbols

Your TomTom navigation device uses a blue arrow as the default image to show your current position in the Driving View. There are a number of alternative car symbols preinstalled on your device for you to use but you can also create your own custom car symbol. To do this, you will need to use a graphics program such as MS Paint or Photoshop.

Note: Check the table to see if your device supports this type of content.

Creating a car symbol

1. Create the image to a size of 80x80 pixels.
2. Give the image a red background (RGB 255,000,000).
3. Save the image as a 24 bit .bmp in the art\cars folder of your device.
TIP: Car symbols can appear on dark or light areas of the map, so your car symbol might not stand out on all areas unless you add a light line around a dark icon or a dark line around a light icon. The red background becomes transparent and is not seen on your TomTom navigation device.

Uploading your car symbol to your TomTom navigation device

1. Connect your device to your computer and open TomTom HOME.
2. From the main menu in HOME click Add Maps, Traffic, Voices, etc.
3. Click Images and Icons.
4. Click Car Symbol.
4. Click Add next to the item you want to add to your TomTom device.
Selecting the car symbol on your TomTom navigation device

1. Tap Change preferences in the Main Menu of your device.

2. Select Change car symbol.

3. Select your new image.
